The private sector is increasingly recognized as instrumental to addressing pressing national and social challenges across the Middle East and Central Asia. A growing group of networks in the region have mobilized resources around raising awareness and supporting participants in implementing the Ten Principles. Because Country Networks in this region have significant numbers of SME participants, they have made special efforts to support them in meeting their commitment to the UN Global Compact

By partnering with other key sustainability actors in the region, networks in the region collaborate to support and build the capacity of participants. Country Networks also invest in making information about the benefits of reporting and corporate sustainability in general more accessible to companies.
