The Roof-Top Garden Party

We will have to change personal behavior over the next 15 years in order to achieve the SDGs. We, as individuals, can be part of SDG solutions. The party combines refreshments and light food with short inspirational talks and demonstrations – and opens lots of possibilities for networking in a different and relaxed environment. Short presentations looked at products and services that make choosing sustainable life easy, including topics such as food, fashion and healthy living.
Evie Evangelou – Founder and President of Fashion 4 Development – moderated presentations highlighting how easy it is to live a sustainable lifestyle today, including exhibits on:
- Sustainable Food: Celebrity Chef Chloe prepared and presented her award winning plant-based culinary creations that fuel and energize without compromising flavor, taste, or satisfaction. Suzy and James Cameron will measure the environmental advantages of this healthy and delicious food.
- Sustainable Design & Fashion: Nicole Rycroft - Founder and Executive Director of Canopy - introduced the CanopyStyle campaign to eliminate the fashion industry’s detrimental effects on the world’s forests, freshwater systems, climate, and forest-based communities. Sustainable fashion brands Stella McCartney and Eileen Fisher highlighted how they have successfully integrated sustainability into their production. Parson School of Design will present sustainable materials and fashions, and students from the Copenhagen Fashion Summit will present their agenda for responsible innovation in the fashion industry.
- Sustainable Cities: The exhibit highlighted advances at the forefront of sustainable building and infrastructure.
