The Efico Foundation collects the contributions in a separate fund, the Efico Fund, a corporate fund within the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) which assures: the selection of the projects by an independent panel of judges; the monitoring of projects; the management and the distribution of financial means, as well as the payment of the agreed projects.

To introduce a new project, the applicant consults the required criteria, on the KBF internet site, which determines that the project meets the aims of the Efico Fund to obtain a financial support. Concretely, by the submission of a new project, the applicant has to demonstrate to what extent the project succeeds, in applying the multi-stakeholder model developed by the UN Global Compact, by answering following question of the Application Form :

Question 14. To which extent does your project fulfil the multi-stakeholder model, as developed in the UN Global Compact?
