Sustainable development policy illustrates principles 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the Global Compact.
As a leading commercial property investment company in France which takes a long-view and highly integrated approach to its business activities, Unibail has long counted at the heart of its priorities the respect and satisfaction of its stakeholders' needs as regards sustainable development. The aim for management is to embrace a favourable stance for sustainable development. This policy is defined and managed by the Group's Executive Committee, which regularly ensures that the principal effects of this policy are accurately measured and monitored by an internal control and risk management system.
This policy is put into practice through :
> Monitoring the impact of environmental issues.
> Social responsability and business ethics.
> Development of a civic policy.
