UBS communicates with stakeholders on corporate responsibility and implementation of the Global Compact principles on its website (Corporate Responsibility section) and its 2003 Handbook (see pages 113 through 116).
The Handbook describes UBS'' corporate responsibility processes, its investment in the community, its promotion of environmental awareness, and third-party ratings. The report also provides examples of concrete implementation of the company''s corporate responsibility.
The Corporate Responsibility section of the website contains a statement from Marcel Ospel, Chairman of UBS, expressing the company''s commitment to corporate sustainability and to the Global Compact. The website also describes UBS'' commitment to integrate environmental considerations into all business activities. It provides the company''s Environmental Policy and a list of Environmental Reports from 1998 to 2003. Finally, the website describes UBS'' investment in the communities surrounding its operations throughout the world - Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Switzerland.
