Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Schoeller Allibert has already for many years a Human Rights and Labour Policy, and the Human Rights aspects addressed are also core to the company's Code of Conduct which applies to and is signed by all employees.
The importance of Human Rights is embedded in the third pillar of our corporate sustainability strategy, the pillar Integrity at Heart. This pillar represents our belief that as a company, we must respect and value our employees and all our stakeholders and live up to the highest standards of ethics and governance.
The two themes in this pillar that address Human Rights are Sustainable Supply Chain Management, as well as diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion is reflected by the fact that these are leading themes.
The goals for Sustainable Supply Chain Management are that all our suppliers recognize the human rights of all people as outlined in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Supplier takes responsibility for avoiding infringement of human rights and remediating the impact, if any, on human rights resulting from activities performed for Schoeller Allibert and products made for Schoeller Allibert.
With regards to diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion, the goal is year-on-year improvement in increasing our diversity & inclusion by promoting and embracing a culture that supports people's different backgrounds, experiences, and qualities.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Regarding our upstream supply chain, Schoeller Allibert has in 2021 launched its Supplier Code of Conduct, which, amongst other topics, addresses Human Rights issues and clearly describes the (Human Rights related) expectations we have towards our suppliers. In addition, we have started implementing the Ecovadis platform to assess our critical supplier base. The Ecovadis assessment includes critical questions about human rights.
In terms of diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion we have started by addressing the topic of equal opportunities and female leadership by having a female management workshop.
Schoeller Allibert also counts on an internal as well as external whistleblower policy and encourages all board members, officers, and employees to report concerns about violations of Schoeller Allibert's Code of Conduct or regulations that govern Schoeller Allibert's operations.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • With regards to Sustainable Supply Chain Management, we are currently rolling out the Ecovadis platform across our upstream supply chain and will assess the scores of our suppliers, with the goal to improve (year-on-year) the overall score above the minimum target (target on percentage and score set after completed baseline in Q2 2022).
We are measuring the topic of diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion by means of an annual questionnaire to all employees, through which we want to assess the current status of the topic through several questions.
