In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. As Eurotec Mühendislik Plastikleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. we aim to contribute sustainable development and to become the most respectful in our sector thanks to our Customer Satisfaction Management System that we established in accordance with our vision, mission, principles and values.
In accordance with this purpose, we commit;

Eurotec has its own suggestion system and we award the best suggestion per quarter.All the empolyees can easily reach suggestion boxes inside the production area as well as our quality management system.Eurotec expects its suppliers to respect human rights and sign Ethical Principles Contract.

Eurotec supports training its employees regarding all kind legal rights including human rights. No legal cases recorded in 2021.
%24 of our employees are woman. Eurotec is a young company, youngest employee is 18 years old; ratio between 18-24 ages is %8 while 25-30 age rate is %27; 30-35 age rate is %22; 35-40 age rate is %22; 40-45 age rate is %16 and >45 age rate is %6.
For Turkish youth, we kept donating SAITEM Sakarya University Advanced Technology Application Community.
We sponsored the ITU (Istanbul Technical University) and YTU (Yıldiz Technical University) Racing Team
We keep supporting The project of “Plastics Turning into Homes” (support for sheltering stray animals)
We sponsored “Avrasya Sports Team” in 2021 whose members are Elementary Schools’ Studens.

Eurotec does not employ child workers other than those specified in the ILO Convention No. 138. We never force our employees to work under force or any other pressure.
We expect our suppliers to respect above specified rules and ask them to sign our Ethical Principles Contract.

Thanks to our employees for 33 suggestion in year 2021.We award the best suggestion every quarter and wish to improve the system with empoloyee support.
Education on health safety is given during 1.713 hours in 2021.Due to Covid-19, we reorganised our health and safety requirements including the working environment in the factory. We shifted our doors, hand sanitizers, soap dispensers with sensors. We shifted work order in offices.We increased the number of shuttle services for all employees. We made PCR tests for employees. We use plexiglass in the office and cafeteria.
An insulated door are installed to reduce the noise level to the passage opening of the two scrap machines. Sandwich panells are placed between these machines for insulation purposes.
An audible warning system has been installed at the loading door.
Notching device has been raised to make it ergonomic at the lab.

Eurotec produces engineering plastics compound for various sectors.In terms of structure, plastics are environmentally friendly materials. The important thing is to maintain the efficient and friendly relationship between the environment and plastic, both in manufacturing and consumption.
Eurotec is aware of the fact that protecting the environment is possible by holding efficiency as a priority in all processes.The environment policy and applications of Eurotec are continuously renewed and improved to ensure that our planet is maintained in a young and fit state.
The employees of Eurotec embrace the objective of continuously pursuing the protection and nurturing of the environment as their common goal.
To serve this purpose Eurotec aims to;

The environmental behavior of our industry’s businesses and companies are becoming important due to carbon-neutral future, lower dependency to fossil resources and governmental regulations in the last decades. That’s reason there is a growing demand in the market for sustainable materials like renewable resources and recycle materials. Especially demand for recycled and bio materials are growing exponentially in automotive and house appliances. We are providing new solutions by generating efficient processes and respectable use of resources to reduce our ecological and carbon footprint. We have been creating links between different industries to provide with ecological friendly products and excellent quality of them. The sustainable products from renewable raw materials sources, industrial and consumer waste in our product portfolio are results of our respect to the environment and use of highest level of know-how in the plastics technology. This year, we start to work on sustainable materials with well-known OEMs. Our recycled material PA6 and PA66 with 30% Glass fiber grades start to take place in automotive approved material list in FCA We are also working new recycle developments which will be reduce more footprint of products which will be ready in 2022.
In 2021, We deeply focused on biomaterials due to market demand, regulations and our sustainable strategy. After the intensive research, and pilot production trials by Eurotec R&D team, 100% or partly biodegradable products successfully developed and created its green product portfolio to offer innovative solutions regarding green products. We are excited and proud to announce Tecobio®, the new member of our product line. Eurotec® 's 100% biodegradable polymer product line consists of PLA, PBS, PBAT with using wide range of filler and additives such as glass fiber, mineral filer, impact modifier, wood flour, waste filler (coffee, walnut shell, nutshell and corn cob powder) and natural fiber (flax, kenaf, sisal and jute fibers). However, these materials need special compounding process due to low thermal stability and need special care and pretreatment before compounding. Thanks to our long-standing know-how on engineering plastic formulation and processing, we are offering tailor made sustainable bioplastics by achieving better-performing materials to match technical and tough requirements which provides broaden applications.
Tecobio PL30 WR30 NL (PLA with 30% wood filler) could be used for pen body, toothbrush, cutlery, cups and also suitable for 3D printing applications. Tecobio PL40 MF25 NL 01 (PLA and PBS blends with 25 mineral filler) is using for cutlery and cups due to good thermal stability and flexibility. We also providing solutions for bio polyamides with glass fiber and recycled carbon fibers. Tecomid BIO NI40 CR30 BK111 HS (PA6.10 with reinforced with 30% recycle carbon fiber to provide 100% sustainable material solution for automotive applications and replacement from PA6 and PA66. Tecomid NZ40 GR30 NL HS (biobased PA with 30% glass fiber) is used as a replacement of PA6.6 in the automotive applications.We sent surveys to our raw material suppliers in order to collect data regarding Life Cycle Assessment Reports. We started to prepare our own data base with Metsims and aim to finalise calculating LCA reports for nearly 40 products.
We also aim to keep calculating our Co2 footprint of 2021 in 2022.

We seperate our wastes as per waste types and our wastes are recycled by Recyling Licenced companies who are approved by goverment.
Education on Environment was given during 654 hours in 2021.
Eurotec’s Environmental Volunteers Society is founded in 2021. The Society cleaned nearest beach by collecting wastes.
Children of Eurotec families shooted videos for celebration of “5 June World Environment Day”.
We donated TEMA for all our employee on “21-26 March World Forest Week”.
Eurotec is publishing its own newslater named “Gazetec”. We created a new page of “Environment-Safety” in order to announce news about these topics.
Fisibilty step of “Sun Energy System” is completed. We aim to start the project in order to use the system for our own energy requirement in 2022. We hope to reduce our electricty usage by %10.

Eurotec supports all national and international anticorruption laws and teaches all the employee how they need to act in accordance with Ethical Principles.If any employee faces infringement at any time, they must inform Human Resources Department immediately;
• It is strictly forbidden to be in personal relationship with any customer/supplier or subcontractor. No employee can personally borrow money or goods from those listed herein.Lending any money or goods in personal is also forbidden.
• Purchasing goods at zero value or at very low value from a supplier means gaining benefit and is strictly forbidden.Selling products to customer in same manner is also a benefit which is again strcitly forbidden.
• Collecting invoice amounts must be managed by authorised personal only.
• No employee can make payment in personal on behalf of customer.
• No employee can ask for a present from suppliers.Only flowers, agendas, chocolattes could be accepted at specific dates like New Year.
• No donation from any suppliers/customers/subcontractors is acceptable
• No personal earnings from a seminar, interview etc is acceptable.
• No employee can donate any political institution even personally on behalf of the company.

Company policies are explained to all employees and a policy hand book is given to new personal. Eurotec expects its suppliers to struggle with corruption.Suppliers must not value, offer or accept any value to bribe, pay or otherwise benefit from any organization or person.Eurotec gets ist Ethical Principles Contract signed by its suppliers.
