  • The CEO of the group CTE states the following:

    I confirm that CTE reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we give our ideas of how to handle and how to act. We are conscious about the challenges and still improving each day. Here we want to show our commitment by submitting our first COP.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • A company should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and prevent that it is complicit in human rights abuses.
    CTE ensures a fair, objective and equitable approach to all workers.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • We have put in place work-life friendly practices and remain committed to cultivate a harmonious working experience within our corporate culture. Timely and accurate payment of wages and medical benefits are part it.
    All employees and applicants for employment are treated and evaluated according to their job-related skills, qualifications, abilities and aptitudes. Any decisions based on characteristics such as gender, age, race religion, marital status, sexual preference and political belief may constitute discrimination and will not be tolerated by the company.

  • The employees of different countries and cultures are woriking together in a succesful way and with an good ambience.
    People respecte the others and no problem occured.
    We do encourage to travel and meet the colleagues from other countries. Exchange about culture, understanding of the daily life of others and acceptance are improving this way.

Labour

  • A company should uphold the effective abolition of child labour. Wherever the suspect of child labor occurs it must be followed up close to be eliminated.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • Nothing illegal to exploit the employee can or will be tolerated. All of our employee are either citizens, or hold valid working permits.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Our working hours are based on a five-day working week. Work performed in excess of normal hours can be recovered.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • Population growth togehter with the “throw away” nature of consumer societies means the amount of waste generatedgrows rapidly. The imperative for nations, cities and communities to embrace sustainable waste management solutions is therefore increasingly urgent.
    Saving energy is an important subejct as well.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • All employees are required to switch off lights and air conditioners, as well as power down electrical appliances if not in use.
    At the end of the day, the last person will be responsible for turning off all electrical points except for the refrigeration units.
    All computer equipment used are optimized for reading on-screen, so as to minimize the use of paper. The whole equipement is of low energy consumption.
    We recycle paper and we encourage communication through email, and document sharing to reduce the overall usage of, and reliance on, paper.
    Alloy coffe pads are returned to a special collection site.

  • People are more aware of the waste they produce and try to avoid. Sensibility has been strengthend about environemental subjects.
    One department is very engaged in renewable energies.

Anti-Corruption

  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • A business must work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
    All employees are hold not to try to corrupte and not to accept corruption. Especially the mangagers and higher up levels.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • Our company believes in a fair trade environment and also in the fact that we have to prevent any form of corruption or fraud to happen. We have practiced this professionally for many years, and insist that our clients and business partners adhere to the same idea.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • CTE has never been oposed to a subject linked to corruption. To date, there is no single case of complaint against our business on this issue. This standard will be hold up rigorously in the future as well.
